My Super Parent Moment

There's a special kind of pride I feel when I get both kids in the car by myself. They're 3 and 10 months old. Most outings are a two-parent job or we go with a grandparent.

But every now and then, I manage to wrangle both of them into their car seats, solo, and head out. It feels like a personal win. Peak parenting. Like I've unlocked a secret level that proves I actually know what I'm doing.

It's me getting one kid's shoes on while balancing the diaper bag. Buckling one in while keeping the other within arm's reach so they don't wander off.

Every successful outing with both kids feels like evidence that you're getting the hang of this whole thing. Like I'm conquering parenting.

Parenting is full of feelings: joy, humility, frustration, pride. You swing across the whole spectrum in a single day. But those "I actually pulled that off" moments stick with you. They remind you that maybe, just maybe, you're figuring out this impossible, wonderful job.
